....you think things are beginning to look up, an attempt to re-open an old copper mine in Plumas County emerges. :( The Sacramento Bee reported, today, that a Canadian mining company is exploring re-opening an old copper mine near Taylorsville in Moonlight Valley. The existing mine last operated in 1930. :( :(
The project is still in it's infancy but looks promising to the company since copper has increased in value, recently. The potential 100 acre open pit mine would border Lights Creek (a trib to the feather). :( :( Not a done deal, yet but the mineral testing has been promising for the company.... Guess I better look up the company symbol on the mining exchange.... :lol:
