Hello Yucatan Travelers!
Many of you are traveling to Tarpon Cay Lodge, Campeche Tarpon Club, and/or Grand Slam Adventures - Isla Blanca this year. I have established a pre-trip meeting schedule to help all those who would like to learn about the proper tackle and flies for a successful trip. The meeting will last about 1/2 hour and will cover the following topics:
Rod/reel requirements (8 - 10 weight)
Matching fly lines to fly rods - IMPORTANT!
Leader systems
Recommended flies (topwater and subsurface)
Other essential (and often overlooked) tackle/gear
Here is the meeting schedule:
Saturday, June 2nd @ 11:00AM
Thursday, June 7th @ 6:00PM
Saturday, June 16th @ 11:00AM
Saturday, July 7th @ 11:00AM
Thursday, July 12 @ 6:00PM
CANCELLEDSaturday, August 4th @ 11:00AM -
Thursday, August 9th @ 6:00PM
It is highly recommended that you bring to the meeting your saltwater rods/reels/fly lines so that we can review your tackle to ensure that everything is in good shape and it is a properly balanced outfit(s).
