Instructor Jeff Putnam had a fly fishing class just recently on the Lower Yuba River near the Hwy 20 Bridge.
He said there was a #16 caddis coming off from 11:30am till 1:00pm.
Right at sunset there was a #14 caddis coming off too.
He said that Golden Stone nymphs were gathering along the shore under the rocks getting ready to emerge any day now.
He said most every student caught a fish during the class.
