Try to report anything you hear about what is going on now because it is really getting to be a big time for fly fishing in Nor Cal and other places as well.

Thanks

PS: As soon as our weather stabilizes again all hell will break loose.

Putah Creek has been fishing well the past two weeks. Due to irrigation needs, the flows had been fluctuating quite a bit and put a damper on the fishing. With the recent rains (just enough to keep the fields from drying out), the flows have stabilized around 300 cfs. In my opinion these are the best flows to fish on the creek. If the weekly rains stop, these flows won't last too long.

I think we need to get down on Lake Solano during the summer months.

Uh, I fished the Rubi this morning for a few hours. Went out mainly because I needed to take pictures for a Interdisciplinary field project, figured might as well wet a line.

Had one strike that made the indicator fly upstream 1 foot, kinda scared me  Got off after 5 seconds.

Tried sight casting to a pod of suckers, which I thought were bows at first (I can't go home skunked!). Tried all sorts of nymphs and 1 dry...

That didn't work.

So yeah, anyone else?

OK Bill...here's my report...

I've been getting out to Drake's Beach two or three times a week for a couple of hours at a time. Unfortunately, it has been very slow. Onesies and twosies and a skunk now and again  . However, catching or not catching, I have gotten addicted to standing in the surf and the whole dynamics of it all :D .

Leaving in the morning for Pyramid Lake to fish with my GWWF friends this weekend. My first time this year. With all the talk about the folks up there closing it from March 15 to May 15 next year, God knows when I will get back up there. :(
