I finally got out on the Delta this Spring for LMB.

Aaron and I launched at Wimpy's Marina and headed mostly north.

Aaron had all the luck catching a bunch of nice bass around 1 to 2 pounds on top with a 'Swimming Frog' hair bug from Umpqua.

I think he had a couple on momentarily that were around 3 pounds.

We did not really see that many people/boats out there as I imagined we would.

Nice day on the water.

PS: The water around Wimpy's is pretty dirty compared to Bethel Island. I guess I like the clearer water myself.

PS2: I think we would have caught more fish if the moon wasn't so darn big now. Full moon is 3 more days, May 2, Wednesday.

Bill, how far did you go up river. It sounds like you stayed below the confluence with the Consumnes.

Did you see (or hear from other fishermen) any signs of any stripers or shad?

I get lost at Costco so I'm not sure where all we were.

Andy thinks we were up near I-5 on Lost Slough.

I think I am going to buy a really good GPS soon.
