I have a bunch of pictures from the last couple weeks so i will break them up a bit.

These are all hawks that are just outside of Davis. There are a lot of hawks there, but as usual they don't like
getting close. Most of these are with the 300mm and 1.4 tc.

When they do fly close it is tough to keep them in the frame, so i cut off a number of wings.

This was the only guy who perched on something natural, as the rest sat on the telephone poles.

Although this is not sharp, its my favorite, uncropped too.

I have one more hawk that i have not touched up yet, so i'll post it later.

Say Hey Bolden,
Those flight shots are perfect for species identification. Very well done. Thanks for sharing the shots.
Cheers, Ken

You may have already said this but what camera are you using and lens. You photos are very sharp . :D I just got a new canon 20 d 8.2 mp and hope to get a new lens.

My son Cody just had a emergency operation to have his appendix removed so it will be at least a year ( or more  ) before I will be able to get a new lens. Unforchently we have no heath coverage right now and so his operation just set us back $12,000 ( ouch  )

Thanks -
