Fished the port of sacramento Mon. for a couple of hours caught 3 black bass too 3 lbs. Saw a lot of theadfin shad balls on my fish finder at 19ft. , every ball of theadfin had 2 or 3 fish swimming with them. The bass i caught came from 13 ft. of water next to the channel. Good job Gene! I think the port can be a real challenge. I know I got skunked the one time I fished there. :oops:

I started with top water stuff, but only had one fish roll on my popper after fishing for an hour or so. I then pulled out my 8wt. with a #4 shooting head and my favored bass fly.http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w300/eugene047/genepicturesfly2001.jpg 8)
