Andy Burk, Gary Tamano and I fished Kelsey this last Tuesday and Wednesday in the worst possible weather. I could not keep my pram anchored the wind was so strong and it rained like h--l. The wind blew the fly line around everything in the boat and casting was a hazard. Good thing I can cast with both hands. You had to be a little nuts to be out there, and I fit right in.
Now for the good part, we caught fish, lots of them. We caught them using a variety of flies and each person had their favorites. Mine, in spite of the wind and rain was the gurgler. Sometimes you could not see it sitting on the water but you could see the explosive takes and then set up. I am going back in a few weeks hoping for better weather but the fishing could not be much better then it was.
