Thanks to suggestions from you guys, I found a camera to replace my dunked one on ebay.
I got the identicle camera because I already have a small fortune in extras for it. Almost 3 gigs of sony specific memmory sticks, And a custom underwater housing. I really love the camera as long as I dont have to deal with sony customer service.

The camera retails for $449 and I found a perfect used one for $125. Sony wouldnt even look at my damaged camera for less than $180.

Its almost an upgrade because my old camera had some debris inside the lenses that fouled the picture in zoom mode. This one is crystal clear.

The old camera still works. Its got a couple spots on the lense and it no longer recognizes a USB cable. It will suffice for a knock around.

Here are some tests I took on my home aquarium with the new/used sony.

This camera has the quickest shutter I have ever seen on a point & shoot. You can take pictures almost as fast as you can press the shutter if the conditions are right. Also it is ready to take a picture 1.5 seconds after hitting the power button.
