Clear Lake

I'll be fishing Clear Lake this weekend- I've never read reports of fly fising but I'm sure it would be great right now, especially with the bass in their pre-spawn. At least a clouser would be something the bass have never seen! I'll be putting down my conventional gear long enough to give the long rod an honest try.... Vaughn

in my other post I mentioned clear lake too. getting great reports from conventional guys out there. when are you going? Maybe we could meet up.

Hi vaughn I fly fish clear lake a little over 2 weeks ago from my float tube, I fish the area out of the town called Clearlake, launch my float tube from the Public boat ramp, and if you go to the right there is a small island that was hot to fish around. Clear Lake Oaks has a Public ramp to launch from, and you can fish around Rattle Snake Island.
