I just found this place when the sacbee had a little article on the area. It is a fairly small place, but it has more birds
and more opportunities than the Consumnes River Preserve. It is also only 10 minutes from my house. Anyway,
i got some of my favorite shots that i have gotten so far with my camera.

My favorites

And i also got this flip. It is not the greatest picture as it was late so i had only 1/125 sec and iso800, but i like the moment.

Thanks for posting the pics Bolden. While I see these birds a lot, I never get to see them up close like that. I'm seeing more and more White Faced Ibis' around these days, they've made quite a comeback. Ed

My childhood dream was to travel the world as a photographer for national geographic magazine. It was really a pipe dream.

I think you have a shot at filling the position I missed! Seriously, you have some real talent with a camera. You should consider launching a trip to snap a couple thousand wildlife pictures..ie. the S.W. desert, the everglades, the rockies...somewhere that wont break the bank. Assemble a portfolio and see where it takes you.

Bolden;
Great shots! And close to home... ;-)
The RW's make me homesick for New Enland where they are very common.
I especially love the Ibis pics...great capture of the color.
Although as a catch and release guy I can't endorse the "flip". :lol: :lol: :lol:
Keep the pics coming...I've got the Sibley Field Guide right here! 8)

Do you sell your photos?

You might offer some to the CA DF&G, County Parks or some of the wetlands/eco agencies?

No, not yet. I guess i have thought about it but i am somewhat lazy in getting around to it. I might have to email
the preserves where i get the pictures and see what happens.

For everyone else, thank you for the complements.
