Fishing has been good too great on the Lower Owens, Gorge and Hot Creek lately. bwo's are firing consistently on all these waters with stoneflies and caddis on the Lower O & Gorge also.
Upper O has seen some very big migrating Crowley bows. Super strong and beautiful. Some days you have to really dig down and get after it.
I call it "East-Side Steelheading" cuz they are fickle and mysterious (here now, gone tomorrow) and these rascals can be the fish of a hundred casts. But any of these rainbows you hook will be remarkable and any that you land will be memorable.
Hope everyone is getting out plenty; there is no shortage of fishing options all over this great state and right now is the time to get into it!
