I'm looking for a stripping basket and found this one called Total Control Stripping Basket.
Anybody use it and have any comments - good or bad?
Looks very nice and light weight.
I noticed Kienes is a dealer on their website.

Check out the one Mems is wearing in his picture with a bone fish, they're $20 at LL Bean or $40 Orvis and work great. Some folks use a cheap plastic dish pan they get for a $1 and put an adjustable belt on them. Lotsa choices.

I own one, it's pretty good. I like how it can fold up and pack away easily, great for occasional usage. If you will use the basket a lot, then look elsewhere.

The problem you'll find with mesh baskets is they allow your line to roll around in there more resulting in tangles. If you do go that route, you can always modify it and add some posts with weed-wacker line, etc.
That will help the tangles out alot.

I have one of the LL bean baskets and it works great. The one I use in the surf has holes drilled in it for drainage and the posts are built in.
From talking to someone a while back on the phone, they seemed to think they would be selling them again in the spring/summer.
The orvis baskets are pretty much an equivalent but more pricey and a bit more cramped.

We carry both of those mentioned above at our shop in Sacramento plus a new belt type by William Joseph Company.

They are all good.
