Don't know if everyone has heard, but the Nat. Park Service is planning development at Lassen National Park. Approximately 40-60 :shock: tent cabins are planned for the Lake Manzanita area and will be very close to the lake. Additionally, the plan calls for 6 canoes for rent at the lake. The official cut-off for public comment has passed (apparently, there was little to no effort to reach out to user groups), but letters from individuals to Lassen Park Sup. Mary Martin can't hurt. Even better - you might want to also copy your rep. in Congress.
This is a fantastic wild trout fishery - would be a shame to see it jeopardized by development. Help get the word out on this one?
