YouTube Help?

I'm having a problem getting YouTube to work. When I hit any links to it I get a window saying I don't have Flash Player with a link to get it. I use the link to load it and then get a window saying I have it, but it still doesn't work. Does anyone have any idea what a total tech dummy can do to get it to work? Right now when I get a link on line or through an email I have to use my wifes computer to view it.
