Just got back from fishing the Chetco this last Wednesday and Thursday
and it was very good :)
Here are a few downstreamers I caught.

Wow!!! Those look very bright for downstreamers. They must've spawned a short distance from the ocean.... :) :) :)

Nice report and you did OK catching the river when it was fishable. Finding flyfishing water has been a problem this year.

steelhead start to regain their ocean bright colors after they have spawned

That looks like a great day of fishing to me.
I wish everyone could be fortunate enough to just hook a nice Steelhead on a fly rod.
