Hey Jay and others,

Jay, I found the product that we were talking about at the Expo.

Pre-made plastic lips for diving bass bugs.

I was sure I had seen these before, along with several bug styles. :?

Jay, those hair bugs you and Steve were tying, were amazing!

Cheers,
Lee

Lee,

I have about 50 of them sitting right here on the desk. They didn't work for me because of the design and the thickness. That's why I went to using a .035 plastic. Plus I can make or shape the diving bills to a size that I need. I'm now in the process of having a die made so it will cut, shape, slot the bill and curve the bill. The die itself is pretty pricey but I'm taking this to the next level.
I'm hoping that the flies will soon be on the market by one of the bigger distributors out there. It's in the works.

Get seeing you at the expo.

Jay

Opps, forgot too add:

The lips that are shown in the photos are all streamer patterns. It would be pretty difficult too spin the hair around the hook shank with the thread and bill attached to the hook shank. That's why the fly lips are sitting here.

Hi Jay,

Ok. I'm glad that you at least know about the existing bill style. Good luck with your new design.
It seems there is always room for "a better mousetrap".

Cheers,
Lee
