First and foremost, why is this a pond and the one on Cameron Park is a lake? Inquiring minds want to know. :) Arrived just around noon to find a full scale gale blowing across the pond(lake?). I almost drove away, but being a hardcore(stupid) fisherman I went ahead and lauched. After 4 hours of getting blown around in the pram by a relentless north wind I wish I would have. Water was pretty cold, visibility around 3 ft, and in case I haven't emphasized it, really windy. I did catch one, only I'm not sure it even qualifies as a bass. If you put it on the rack and stretched it it might go 6 inches. I thought it was a weed 'til I lifted it out of the water. Oh yeah, for the report, it was the venerable chartreuse and white clouser that got the guppy. Got a close look at some Goldeneye and a River Otter, so there's always an up side. Ed

Thanks Ed

One big difference is that Cameron Park Lake is "catch-n-release" so it should have lots more fish than most other open ponds like Mather.
