Fellow Americans and those that live about the American River,
The weather has been so wonderful the past week that instead of stepping on beach grass I nearly killed a palm tree seedling. Big Ed aka the sun was out in such force I was able to air out months of funk in the old place I live. So sunny even the mold was beginning to whine. Those spores kept me up all night.
Unfortunatly, the fish report is glum. Been slower than me out the door for a rectal exam. I'm pretty sure that guy is a doctor, but I digress. Not a bunch of fish showing in the rivers. Could be water temp, or early. Feb/Mar are the big months for the big boys so we will see what happens. The weather becomes more trusty so if you have some days off head north and roll the dice.
Oh, and I promise never again to mention the words "rectal exam" in a fishing post. Poor metaphor. My bad.
