View Full Version : Finally... something to write home about from the American

Well, I take it from the lack of reports that the steelheading isn't on fire. Prior to last weeks big freeze, I had a three day hitting streak. Three days in a row landing a steelhead is about the best I've ever done. Since the cold front moved in last week, I've hooked a couple, but nothing to write home about. However, today, I landed one worthy of a picture. Not the chrome-plated one I'm still casting for, but a large, attractive gal, none the less.

Hey Ron,

Way to go :) ! You seem to be as consistent as anyone on the American these days. What kind of flys are you swinging?

Hey Dave, Look forward to both fishing and picking with you again when we can. I have been working on dill pickle rag and pretty much have it down now.
