Perfect for a 7 wt rod :shock:

Now there's a prime example why I use a heavier rod than a 5 or 6 weight. There would be no way that you could land that fish. When the fish starts running through the grass, sunken trees and mopes on the bottom - game over.

I've been checking the local water for pre spawn carp but nothing yet. I'm still looking for some shots to add to my carp presentation.

Man those things are ugly. I guess you can officially call me a salmonid snob. For whatever reason carp just don't "do it" for me. Impressive fish nonetheless.
