Feather river 1/23 report

fished for a couple of hours in the low flow, had a nice 2 stripe steelhead that was 25 inches long with 14 inches girth. Seemed heavier than a usual feather river stealhead. Another guy in the same hole caught one about the same girth but a inch or 2 larger, plus some smaller chrome. Caught my single fish on the dangle with a size 14 pt nymph.

If we don't have any big storms, I would look at the Lower Feather River to be really good for resident trout and spring run Halfpounders eating small salmon and caddis in March/April.
