Putah Creek

I have been out to Putah Creek a few times recently and managed to catch a few nice fish between skunks. The creek was particularly pretty one morning, and since the fish weren't biting, I took a picture that I thought I would share. There was a huge rainbow jumping in that pool in the shot below, but it was not interested in anything I offered. I have caught a few recently like the one below, mostly on a micromayfly dropper under a dry.

Very Nice picture and Fish as well :) ! I have fished Putah creek a few times in years past and it is definitely a challenge to be consistent out there. I see you are a Davis resident. I live in Sac and work in Davis. Maybe we could have lunch together sometime and talk some fishing.

The lunch and talk sound great Bill, but although I live in Davis I work in Stockton. Perhaps in the summer when I am out of school (and hopefully fishing a lot).

I agree that is a great picture and worthy of being a desktop background.

Phill, Yeah guess lunch won't work to well with you being in Stockton and me being in Davis. I guess we are both commuters that is for sure. Lets plan do it in the summer when you are out of school.
