I have a new St. Croix Legend Elite fly rod, 8 1/2' 4wt 4-piece (model E864.4). Got it from a guy who bought out the inventory of a shop going of business. This rod was on their display rack (no tube, sock, or warranty card), and has been gently handled in the store but never fished. Looks perfect to me. Still has the "IPC" tag attached. This is St. Croix's top of the line serious fly rod, high-modulus high-strain SCV blank, nickel silver reel seat with ash burl wood insert, flora-grade cork handle, titanium guides, etc. 'Fast+' action, 3.1 oz. Definitely a beautiful high end rod. Retails for $500. I'll let it go for $250.
