Anyone know how Putah Creek is above the resevoir? How does the lake fish for smallies? What's a good time of year? I'm guessing sometime in the spring?

I have always heard there are Smallmouth up above Lake Berryessa on upper Putah Creek.
I think there are some in Lake Solano too.
They should be in lower Putah Creek that flows from Lake Solano/Winters downstream to UC Davis and below. May/June? This could be a nice float as soon as the water warms up in the spring.
It is Spring in Lake Berryessa. April/May
The water temp in the moving water probably needs to warm up some so late spring and summer might be best.
